Our Senior High Fellowship meets Sunday evenings from September through June for a time of learning and fun.  They ask the tough questions about our faith and how it’s active in their lives, in an environment that encourages exploration and discussion.  Each year, the Senior Highs go on a week-long mission trip, an annual retreat, and participate in other large events, like Triennium.  To learn more about our Senior High youth, see their Facebook page here:   Facebook page.

Our Middle and High school youth are involved in a Joint Youth Fellowship, with 5 other churches from the Presbytery.  This Joint Fellowship meets one Sunday each month from September till June.  They engage the scriptures through activity-based learning, and have plenty of time for fun and fellowship!  Pastors, youth directors, and volunteer youth leaders from around the Presbytery lead the group, which usually rotates location between the participating churches, or outside church walls doing things like mission around Rochester, or participating in creative forms of worship and learning, like our drum circle.

Here at TCPC, we use the curriculum “Feasting on the Word” across all age levels, from children’s Sunday School to our Senior High Fellowship to our Adult CE Classes.  It is a lectionary-based curriculum, which ties in well with our Seasonal Model.  For more information about what the Feasting on the Word curriculum is like, visit their website here:

Sunday School

Children in grades K-5 are encouraged to participate in our worship service with worship bulletins available specifically for them. A Sunday School is offered bi-weekly during the school year to allow them to participate with other children investigating the Bible.

Our goal is to teach the Bible in a fun and exciting way.  We hope that our young members gain fundamental Biblical knowledge.

Camp Arts Alive

Each year, Camp Arts Alive concludes with a concert for family and friends. Click below to listen.

Confirmation is a very special time in the life of those who wish to explore their faith in-depth.  Most commonly, confirmation classes are taken around the freshmen year of High school, but it’s possible to take them at any age.  TCPC is involved in a nationally recognized joint confirmation class, with other Presbyterian churches in the area.  Confirmands partner with a spiritual mentor of their choosing from the church and, along with all the confirmands from the participating churches and their pastors, engage in activity-based learning and deep discussions about all parts of our faith, including: what the sacraments mean, what worship is all about, what the value of prayer is, and many other parts of our common walk with God.  The gatherings meet once a month for 8 months, from September through April.  If, at the end of that time, the confirmand decides to join the church, a special time is held in a Sunday worship for them to profess their faith, and to be lifted up by the congregation as a new member.
